What We Do

EDC Finance Corporation is a private, non-profit organization that was founded by the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County (EDC) in 1986 to provide Lancaster County businesses access to state and local economic development incentive financing programs. Similar funding opportunities are now available to the production agriculture community.

In April, 2008, EDC Finance Corporation received the Certified Development Company designation from the U.S. Small Business Administration to administer the federal SBA 504 loans.

EDC and EDC Finance Corporation facilitate in various capacities community development, redevelopment and real estate projects throughout Lancaster County. Recent scope of work has involved

• Clipper Magazine Stadium

• Armstrong World Industries redevelopment/Northwest Gateway Project, a 47-acre brownfield
  
• LancasterProspers Urban Capital Fund establishment
• Sycamore Square in Elizabethtown Borough

Prosperity., provides detailed information about our economic development activity throughout Lancaster County, PA in 2008. Our annual report is distributed every January at the Annual Meeting of the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County (EDC).
